2020 Regional Webinar Faculty of Letters Universitas Warmadewa

The Community of English Students (Commets) Faculty of Letter Unwar held a 2020 Regional Webinar with the theme Online Learning English Through Online Media on Saturday, November 21, 2020 in the Sri Ksari Warmadewa Mandapa Room.

The event was attended by the Dean represented by the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, attended by the Student Executive Board Faculty of Letters Unwar, and followed online by students of Faculty of Letters Unwar.

The speakers are alumni of Faculty of Letters Unwar, Ni Putu Meira Purnama Yanti, S.S., with material in the Field of English Language Learning, student of Faculty of Letters in Semester VII Ni Made Dwi Ayu Reni Saputri with material on Using Social Media in the Use of English, and moderator for this event, Ni Made Sukma Dewi Dwi Putri.

Head of the Committee, I Made Indra Widiasa said the reason why the theme of this webinar was chosen was that the pandemic forced us to learn from home using online media. Without face to face in class, we are forced to understand the material given. Like learning English, there are many sources that can help us to learn English but many people are not interested. So this seminar will focus on this issue.

Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Drs. I Nyoman Muliana, M. Hum., in his speech said that in academic activities at universities, seminars and webinars are also one of the activities to support lecture activities. This is an activity outside the classroom to discuss academic matters. He represented the Dean very supportive both in student organizations and other students to remain active in carrying out academic activities such as seminars and discussions like this. The goal is to make a container or media that may not be found in the lecture room. He hopes that the level of activities like this will be increased, such as national and international webinars, because this is part of the institution's vision.
