National Seminar on “Develop English in Ecotourism” Held by Comets Faculty of Letters Universitas Warmadewa

Community of English Departments Students (Comets) Faculty of Letters, Universitas Warmadewa held a National Seminar with the theme Develop English in Ecotourism on Saturday, November 30, 2019 in the Sri Ksari Mandapa Meeting Room

The event was opened by the Dean of the Unwar Faculty of Letters, attended by the Vice Deans of Faculty of Letters Unwar, the Chair and Secretary of the English Literature Study Program and lecturers of Faculty of Letters Unwar.

The speakers are lecturer from Flores Catholic University, Dr. Sebastianus Menggo, S.Pd, M.Pd., as well as lecturers of Unwar, Dr. Drs. I Nyoman Muliana, M. Hum., and Dr. I Made Suniastha Amertha, S.S, M.Par.

Head of Committee I Gede Sandi Haris Saskara said this activity was attended by 114 first semester students of FS Unwar. He hopes that this seminar can have a good impact and can provide knowledge in terms of developing English in ecotourism.

The Dean of the Faculty of Letters Unwar Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Kardana, M.Hum. stated that the theme discussed today is very important to be discussed with expert speakers because ecotourism is one of the visions of Unwar and the Faculty of Letters. We have 3 visions, namely quality, ecotourism insight and going global in 2034. Ecotourism is a new word for students. Unwar's vision must be socialized and understood by everyone in this university. He hopes that the speakers share and provide an understanding of the definition of ecotourism and also provide information on what are the rules of the English language in developing ecotourism in Bali. Students are expected to use this opportunity as well as possible to find out what ecotourism is and ask the speakers regarding the rules of English in developing ecotourism.
