Social Work Unit of BEM of Faculty of Letters Universitas Warmadewa at the Sunrise Beach Area

The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Letters, Universitas Warmadewa held KERBAKSOS "No Plastic, No Worries" on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Matahari Terbit Beach Area, Sanur.

The event was attended by the Dean of Faculty of Letters Unwar, Vice Dean for Student Affairs of Faculty of Letters Unwar, Secretary of the English Literature Study Program, Lecturers of Faculty of Letters Unwar, Representatives of BUMDes Sanur, the Committee, and all Social Work Participants.

The Chairperson of the Social Work Committee, Maria Aprilianita, said in her report that this Social Service activity was a series of PKKMB FS Unwar activities in 2019. This activity was carried out to increase the love for the surrounding environment and foster a sense of concern for the environment of new students. The participants of the 2019 Social Work Program are new students of FS Unwar, totaling 109 people.

Vice Dean for Student Affairs Unwar, Drs. I Ketut Sudrama, M.Hum., said that this Social Work Program was the last series of activities for PKKMB FS Unwar. This is a routine activity in the PKKMB FS Unwar. This year it was chosen for the implementation of Social Work to be held in the Sunrise Tourism Area. The consideration for choosing this location is because the place is not too far away, as a tourist attraction, and as a boat crossing port. So that the activity in this location makes the production of waste in this area a lot. So that cleaning activities in this place are very appropriate.

The choice of this place also aims to introduce this area as a tourist area for some students who do not know this area. On this occasion, Vice Dean for Student Affairs Unwar also reminded to ask for the participation of new students in the implementation of PORSENI (Sports and Arts Events) activities, a series of Unwar's Anniversary. So, new students of FS Unwar who have talent in several sports that are being competed should register with BEM FS Unwar.

The event continued with the Handover of Cleaning Equipment from Vice Dean for Student Affairs Unwar to the Sanur BUMDes Representative and continued with a clean-up action in the Sunrise Beach Area.

After the clean-up, it was followed by a games event which was participated by all Social Work participants and the distribution of prizes for the winners of the games.
